Story: The mysterious case

“The case is mysterious as two of the boys are still missing.”

“What about the boy who appeared after three days? I asked

“He’s still in shock. He’s miserable”, the duty officer closed his file as he finished giving me brief.

“Ma’am, It’s been said that the place is haunted”, he tried to warn me.

“What nonsense!” I shouted, “Why can’t you just concentrate on the case?”

“Here is the picture of the spot where the boys went missing”, he looked embarrass as he placed the picture on my table.

“Ma’am everything’s fine?”

Licking my lips, I tried to appear calm, “Oh yes, just bring me some water,” I forced myself to smile.

“Yes, Ma’am”, said he and left the room

As, I looked down at the picture, I felt a tingling sensation down my spine.

Later, the sole witness died in the hospital and the case remained unresolved.

Nobody but I know the truth about that picture. They weren’t ordinary stones.

They were two horrible faces and I saw them shrieking with fear.
