I didn’t cry when people expected me to do so, I didn’t moan when everyone was anxious to hear me complaining.
This is the story of my life and I’m eager to share it with you.
I’ve observed people sighing for a shedding tree, I’ve noticed the gloominess of mood in the autumn season and I’m aware that the decaying yellow leaves are meant to be a symbol of despair. But, my perception of life is different.
For me, the fall of an autumn season is a call of life. I know it seems weird but this is what I’ve learned from my experience of car accident.
From this day before, I haven’t heard about the term “paraplegic”. And, today while painting this picture, I’m glad that my hands and brain are still working.
I’m thankful to this fall in life because after every fall there is a rise, I’m happy that I’m painting and adding colors to this life.

I love that your character is so optimistic even in the face of him/her now being disabled from a car accident. Great story Madeeha!

A change in perspective is everything. What other people saw and leaves dying, your character saw it as something beautiful to paint. I liked your story, I understand how disabilities can force one to change their viewpoint. Well done.

This is the beauty of life that obstacles like disabilities never stopped us from moving.
I like the wisdom in these words that no matter what life continues to move on.
Thanks mandi, these two words of “Well Done” really means a lot (:

Beautiful. That is a lovely thought I will try to remember it as I hate the dark, cold short days of winter.

Reading your comment makes me smile. To be honest, I also don’t like the cold and and short days of winter 🙂

Beautiful, the seeds are resting in the fall, they will germinate with the defrosting of snows, and life will be again.
