Sound of lawn mower
Singing myna, hopping sparrows
My haven for writing,
Embracing this form of day
I have fallen in love with life.
Lately, I’ve been noticing this change in my writing habit that stillness of night creates hindrance in my creative writing process. During the day when there’s the sound of life on the street outside my home, my mind remains active.
This morning, when I could hear the sound of lawn mower in my neighbor’s garden and twittering of sparrows on my terrace, I was thinking nothing but this very line that “I’m in love with life”.
This post is response to Silver’s Weekly #Tanka #Poetry Prompt Challenge #5 SHAPES & HEART.
For heart I’ve used love and for shapes, I’ve used form.

As I read those words it was almost like it was coming out from inside me, it’s very relatable as I’ve always been the morning person. Loved it!

I’m quite late in reading your comment.
I’m happy that you love reading it 🙂

Funny how our feelings sway, sometimes it’s the activity that inspires us and sometimes it’s the stillness. I’m so happy for your love of life!! Beautiful poem. Hope your day was inspiring all day long!! xo

Hi Deb,
Thank you for finding this poem beautiful to read. It’s been a long while that you left a comment on my blog and due to unavailability of internet connection, I was not able to respond you.
I’m so happy to get back to writing here 🙂

Oh boy, I was without internet for a week once and it seemed like forever!! I’m so glad you are connected again. I have been thinking of you and thought it’s been too long since I’ve visited you and must pop over and puff here you are!! That’s the Universe at work. I’ll be stopping by!! 🙂

Yeah, Deb I too missed reading your posts and reading this pop and puff makes me smile 🙂
True, without internet, I too felt it to be an eternity!!!

Pop and puff? Those words make me smile, is that an expression or auto-correct? 🙂

Actually you wrote in your comment
“it’s been too long since I’ve visited you and must pop over and puff here you are”
I liked this sentence 🙂

Ohhhhhh I was pronouncing puff differently as I was reading your comment versus how it was meant to be pronounced in my comment, funny. My comment was pronounced like poof, like you just appeared, and actually that’s how I should have spelled it now that I think about it. It all makes sense now! 😁

Oh, it makes sense to me too now 🙂
It’s funny how confusions can occur 🙂

Lawn mower really did the job, the night before I tried to write it but couldn’t do it and in the morning while listening all these voices, I enjoyed writing it 🙂
For me this kind of noise is the beauty of life and I’m in love with it 🙂
