Dearest Ava

Dearest Ava,

This is a cold winter day and while my fingers are busy in writing, my mind is strolling in that street. The cloudy sky of that evening is still fresh in my mind.

I and you, we were just two there. That was the last day of our university and while walking on that street, I had said that no matter what I would never get married and you in your calm voice had replied that sooner or later I would change my perception and here I confess that I was wrong.

I agree that marriage is the most beautiful relationship and never before I had imagined that life could be so full of colors.

Sharp and bright, soft and light this is now how I defines my life and when everyone complains that winter sun is getting lazy, I believe it’s still okay.

Happy wedding anniversary to my beautiful wife.

I originally wrote this for the challenge named it’sStillOkay, put forth byΒ Prakash Hegade. This time on seeing the picture above, I found it beautiful and can’t resist re-posting the letter.

Thank you Louise from the storyteller’s Abode for the beautiful picture. Many thanks to PricelessJoy for hosting this event.

      1. I’m glad you liked the prompt, Madeeha. πŸ™‚ I’m finished with NaNoWriMo, and I have 50500 words of my novel written, but it’s by no means done yet. Most of it’s not even in the right order (I don’t write sequentially, but whatever scene comes into my head). I’ll be spending the next few months editing it! Thanks for asking.

            1. This touched my heart too Deb, such a beauty from PJ πŸ™‚
I remember the day I was looking for some blogs. That was my first week on wordpress and while searching some blogs, I came across PJ’s blog. I left a comment that I was new and very much like to follow her blog. She very kindly replied that I can join her on hub challenge that provided bloggers with prompts for writing.
Looking concerned, she also asked me did I know how to follow someones blog? πŸ™‚

I respect her a lot for she’s the one who visited my blog first and left comments on my posts.

And, I’m so blessed to have you two here on WordPress, not an exaggeration but always learned a lot from both of you πŸ™‚
              Stay blessed πŸ™‚
