Journey of life

rain1

The road to success in life is full of suspense, for the misty clouds of darkness and the fear of unknown tend to obscure one’s vision of gleaming sunshine.

This slippery path tests one’s strength and courage. Moreover, man encounters a “series of uncertain events” in his way of life.

His encounter with these uncertain events compels him to resist and despite the might of Divinity, he never ceases to “fight back”.

Pains and sufferings are the most prominent aspect of this immortal life, for the death is an “inevitable fact” and we simply can’t deny this harsh reality.

And, then the closer look of one’s surrounding reveals the very fact that life never waits. It tends to “move on”. Crying over failures and holding onto past pains and resentments will only hold us back.

This is the world of brave and courageous people, this is an ongoing battle and only the man of “strong nerves” tends to survive in the end.

It’s worth noting that life emerges from the debris of death and “warrior of lights” are wise enough to realize this reality of life. So, they kept on moving by believing that there is always a ray of hope at the end of dark tunnel.

This is the world of great oceans and mighty mountains and man is just a speck. And, despite of his fragile nature, he “keeps on fighting”.

In the end, his zeal and passion prove fruitful and despite of all his tiredness, he embraces the success with a “smiling face”.

Not knowing what to expect, he made his way into the dark of forest.”

Jerry, was known as a man of strong nerves and when everyone was assuming little Daniel to be dead, he proposed to look into that forest.

The younger son of Bob the truck driver was missing. Every nook and cranny of the town was searched but to no avail.

So, Jerry took two men with him but on reaching at that spot, they refused to move farther and holding torch in his hand, Jerry decided to enter alone.

Deep in the woods the owls were hooting and cupping his hands, he was shouting Daniel’s name.

Suddenly, he heard someone sobbing. Moving his torch in the direction of the voice, Jerry saw the white face of Daniel. Sitting beside the tree, the kid looked frightened.

Jerry took him in his arms and rest is a history.

It’s been a long time and Daniel while narrating this tale to his son never forgets to conclude.

“Never get afraid of darkness. You must learn to take risk.”

This post is a response to Mondays Finish the Story. The first sentence is given and we are suppose to write a story between 100-150 words.

Once it happened in a garden!

bench in a garden

The bird uttered a melancholy tone of loneliness and the autumn leaves gave a crunching sound under their feet’s.

Hand in hand, they entered the garden. Sarah with her firm hold on his hand was walking steadily while the man with his rough brown hair was faltering behind her.

“John, look the kids are playing. Do you want to join them?” she asked, but his vacant eyes and expressionless face made her feel dispirited.

She gently placed her hands on his shoulders and said, “John, you need to speak up. You need to share your feelings.”But he continued to stare at something and following his direction of gaze, she saw an old woman sitting on a bench. That old lady was busy in knitting a sweater.

Sarah felt something strange in John’s eyes. He freed his hand from her grip and started to walk towards the bench.

Holding needles in her wrinkled hands, Susan got surprised by their presence. She cast an inquisitive look upon those strangers and before she could say something the man felled on his knees and started to cry like a child. Tears were rolling down his eyes and in his hysterical voice he was saying,

“You looked like my mother please let me see your face for a while”.

Susan felt as if someone had clenched her heart.  The distant image of her lost child appeared in her eyes. She saw the man in front of her was sobbing uncontrollably.

At that very moment, the crusty brown leaves reflected the golden sunshine and Susan took that youthful figure in her fragile arms. She gently stroked his hair and whispered,

“Shhh!  All your sorrows are ended in my embrace”.

The little sparrow uttered a musical note of joy and Sarah smiled contentedly. She was happy as at last John had decided to share his feelings.

Once, I found a letter…

hand written letter

Today’s Prompt: You stumble upon a random letter on the path. You read it. It affects you deeply, and you wish it could be returned to the person to which it’s addressed. Write a story about this encounter.

Today’s twist: Approach this post in as few words as possible.

While, eating my lunch, I cast him a quick look. Sitting in that lonely corner of the cafe, that man in his late thirties was shedding tears.

I felt a strange urge to console him. But, before I could say anything, he stood up and went away. I too, paid my bill and headed for the door.

Passing by his table, I saw a folded paper. Out of curiosity, I opened it. It was a letter

Dear Brother,

… We are enjoying spring season here. The leaves are green and the sun is shining brightly. Everything is looking beautiful…

Mother is missing you a lot. Do write to us.

Your loving sister

The dampness of letter revealed the agony of a man. Despite living among the luxuries of life, the man was missing his homeland and the pale yellow sun of a cold winter was reminding him of all the colors of life which he had left behind.

I folded the paper and put it carefully in my pocket. I wanted to give it back to him. After all, it was his most prized possession.

“The most difficult subjects can be explained to the most slow-witted man if he has not formed any idea of them already; but the simplest thing cannot be made clear to the most intelligent man if he is firmly persuaded that he knows already, without a shadow of doubt, what is laid before him.”

The road to success in life is full of “serpentine curves”.It seems strange but it’s true that the key to live a life is to remain thankful to Divinity for all these obstacles.

We must be thankful to these winding paths, for these sharp turns of our lives hone our skills and polish us to become a real gem in our lives.

Remember, all the great people have encountered similar moments in their lives. They all have to face the difficulties in their lives. From Abraham Lincoln to Ronald Reagan and from Walt Disney to Dr.Ben Carson , the lives of these people are filled with similar stories of constant struggle and consistent efforts.

There is nothing uncommon between you and these great men. The only thing that makes difference is the determination. So, never lose your hope and carry on with your struggle.

You’ll see that time will come when you’ll look back and will smile upon all those difficult hours of your life.

Don’t forget that you are the writer of your story. So, seize the moment and move forward with positive attitude in your life.
