I was sure, I could

go back in time which was mine

with framed memories,

I feel the passage of time

but can never reverse the clock.

Summer season

I know summer sun can never be calm but these days when May is getting warm, my city’s temperature is rising. Today it was 46 degree Celsius and in the absence of any wind, I found it really hard to breath. All day long my head kept on pounding and I felt my eyes burning.

It’s been some days that our cars’ AC has stopped working and my mother getting tired of car mechanics is looking angry. Now, she’s a strong believer of Murphy’s Law and today when she was sighing for winter, I was smiling and pretending listening to her, I started taking mental notes for my post.

Actually, I like observing shades of green leaves in bright sunlight. In summer, the waft of warm air adds color to environment but this very hue is absent from dull winter days and long winter nights taking a cloak of fog often makes me sad.

So, it’s summer and in the midst of load shedding everyone is missing cold winter days but I’m happy about the presence of raw mangoes in my home and thinking about eating delicious raw mango chutney is making my mouth water. This mango chutney is a real treat to eat with meals.

Well, summer season can offer a lot, for if eating mangoes add sweet flavor to long summer days then at nights eating ice lollies are enough to make anyone smile 🙂

A visit to grandma’s house!

The elder siblings were worried about their little sister. They were jumping and they were making noises but the two year old was constantly weeping and the aunt was trying hard to make her calm.

This is the story of five kids. Their parents were out of city and they were staying at their grandmother’s house for a week.

The aunt tried hard and within days the little kid developed a strong connection with her. She felt satisfaction in her presence and they both started to share a strong bond.

The kids enjoyed their stay at their grandmother’s house. At the end of the week, the parents arrived to pick their kids. Kids were happy but the grandparents were sad.

This past week, my nieces and my nephews kept me busy. I found little time to read and write. My apologies for late response. I’ll try to catch up with your posts.

And yes, I’m missing my little niece 🙂

Baby birds have finally arrived!

There is a pin drop silence in my home. My nieces and nephews are gone and I’m missing them.

These fourteen days were very busy and I found little time to read and write. So, my apologies for late response 🙂

Now, I like to share these pics. Remember reading about “Bulbul bird” in my home. Yes, the baby birds are here and both father and mother birds are excited.

They were pink and featherless
The third one was yet to come
I can’t believe. Within days they looked so big

These days the parents are vigilantly observing their babies. The little birds seem to be naughty and I guess they are ready for their first flight 🙂

Allergic to E Challenge

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I was nominated for the Allergic to ‘E’ Challenge by my friend Fatmawaty. It’s a beautiful blog from Indonesia. Please do visit her blog. The life without “E” is difficult to imagine. So, let’s have a try 🙂

First, here are the rules for this challenge:

1) Write a whole paragraph ( a paragraph sounds easy right?) without any word containing the letter “e” (still easy for ya?)
2) By reading this you are already signed up.
3) Challenge at least five bloggers to do the challenge. They must do it within 24 hours or it is considered as failure.
4) If you fail or pass, suffer in the Page of Lame.
5) If you win, wallow in the Page of Fame.

Adding drawings was a fun. Photos show warmth of colors. It’s amazing. Pooh and owl look calm. Right now, I’m thinking of a classic book by a profound author which I’m trying to finish. The Sunday is approaching and visitors will make it a fun day. Sun is shining and lucid sky is smiling. It’s vacations and Ramdan is approaching. It’s 9:23 am and now I’m going to wind up my post. It was tough. Unknowingly, I was about to touch upon the “no go land” in this post 🙂

My nominees

1. Prakash Hegade

2. Ameena k.g

3. Arfa

These drawings are made by my sister and we made these greeting cards for our family.

Thanks to “Eeyore” for patience. Can’t mention his presence in the post and I’m reading “Pride and Prejudice”.

Finally, lots of “E’s” here 🙂

Bird in my home!

It’s really hot here. Yesterday, the temperature in my city was 109.4 F. The sun looks furious but we are not taking it seriously. In fact, we have some other matters to enjoy 🙂

The reason for this happiness in our moods is Bulbul bird. Yes, the bird has laid eggs and we are all waiting for its hatchlings.

Here are some pictures.

The design looks quite intricate and the hard work of the little bird is evident.

The bird found the light bulbs in our car porch to be a safe place.

My parents were not satisfied. So, they just made a safety covering beneath it.

It was a great scene. As, we were busy in covering its house, the little birds became so anxious. They continued to make noise and remained close to their nest. The picture is not clear but the bird can be seen among the leaves.

One day, I saw the Bulbul was not inside her nest. I climbed up the ladder and tried to look. But, the design of the nest is such that it looks like a deep bowl. So, I placed the camera closer and took the picture. When, I saw it there were three eggs. It was a moment of joy. My younger sister and my niece got excited.

The birds had arrived. So, I immediately got down.

Later, what we saw from the window, brought smile on our faces. The Bulbul peeked inside her nest as if she was making sure about the presence of eggs.

These days we are also enjoying listening to the melodious voice of this bird.We are all waiting for nestlings. I’ll update you about them.

Hope you enjoy seeing these pics 🙂
